Hoffenheim are a Bundesliga side based in the village of the same name, in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Nicknamed as Die Kraichgauer, and play their home games at the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Their traditional kit is all blue.
Founded in 1899, until the turn of the 21st century, the only Hoffenheim prediction that could be made with certainty was that few had ever heard of the club, even in Germany. They were an amateur side who played in the lower leagues in Germany.
However, around the millennium, former player Dietmar Hopp returned to his own club as an investor. With the help of his considerable financial backing, the club began to invest on, and off the pitch, and rose rapidly through the leagues, reaching the Bundesliga for the first time in 2008.
The Hoffenheim business model has attracted widespread criticism domestically because of the club’s lack of tradition and proper fan base. Despite this, the club has survived – and flourished – in the top flight for more than a decade, and last year qualified for the Champions League by finishing third.
They are unlikely to emulate that this season; current Hoffenheim betting tips focus on whether the club will qualify for the Europa League next season instead. For all the dislike of the team and its operating model from the German press and supporters of other teams; as long as Hopp continues to fund them, then they expect to finish well in the Bundesliga. An early Hoffenheim tip for next season – expect a top ten finish at least.
