Valencia Predictions

Valencia are a la Liga side based on the Eastern Coast of Spain. Nicknamed Els Taronges (The Oranges) they play their home games at the Mestalla Stadium. Their traditional kit is white shirts and shorts.

Founded in 1919 – the club is celebrating its centenary this year – the side have won La Liga six times, with their “golden era” coming in the 1940s, when they were champions on three occasions. They have also lifted the Copa del Rey seven times.

They also won the UEFA Cup in 2004, and its forerunner, the Inter Cities Fairs Cup, three times. They reached two successive Champions League finals, in 2000 and 2001, but lost both matches.

Valencia has had many famous managers in its time –including Alfredo Di Stéfano, Claudio Ranieri, Rafa Benitez and Unai Emery.

After a period of turbulence in recent years, they are back challenging for the title in Spain. Valencia predictions for the season tipped them as one of the teams vying for the final Champions League spot, and they may yet claim it, although Getafe and Sevilla are the more likely candidates.

They could also still get in the Champions League via the Europa League, They have reached the semi-final but 3-1 down after the first leg in London, Valencia tips are that the deficit might prove too big.

And they are also in the Copa del Rey final. But, with Barcelona the opponents, it would be a brave Valencia betting tip to back them to win that match.
