Middlesbrough are a side from the North-East of England currently playing in The Championship. The club plays their home games at the Riverside Stadium, which they moved to in 1995 after their old Ayresome Park ground declared unfit for purpose in the wake of the Taylor Report.
Founded in 1886, they have spent most of their existence in either the Premier League or Championship. One of the original founders of the Premier League in 1992, and, in 2004, won the League Cup. The following season they lose in the UEFA Cup Final.
Middlesbrough’s main rivals are local sides Newcastle United and Sunderland, as well as Leeds United.
Relegated in 2017, the club is currently one of the sides fighting to earn promotion back to the Premier League, but with seven teams competing for just two places in terms of the play-offs, it is difficult in terms of Middlesbrough tips, to know whether they are going to make it back to the top flight this season. The Championship is a highly competitive league to get out of, and there are teams with more weapons than others.
However, there is one Middlesbrough betting tip to note under current manager Tony Pulis. Do not bet on them in high scoring games. They have the tightest defence of the top teams, but also one of the lowest scoring records in the Championship. This made them not the most attractive side to watch.
If they do not make it back to the Premier League this campaign, then Middlesbrough predictions might switch to next season when they are likely to feature among early favourites to win their place back in the elite league.
