Hull City are a Championship side based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Nicknamed the Tigers, they play their home games at the KCOM Stadium. Their traditional kit is gold and black striped shirts, and black shorts.
Founded in 1904, they join the Football League the following year, but spent much of their early years of existence in the lower echelons of English football, and it took them until 2008 before promote to the Premier League for the first time. They stayed two seasons before relegate again, but regained their top flight status after three years. That second stint saw them achieve their highest ever league finish 16th before another relegation followed by another return to the Premier League. However, that proved short-lived and they dropped down to the Championship again in 2017.
Hull have never won a senior English trophy. The closest that they came was in 2014 when they reached the FA Cup Final. Leading two-nil after ten minutes against Arsenal, they eventually lost the match in extra time.
The club made headlines in 2013 when the owner at the time tried to change the name of the team to Hull City Tigers, much to the dislike of many of the fans. After a lengthy appeal process, the Football Association reject the name change.
Hull City predictions usually focus on whether, and when the club can get back to the Premier League again. They become smoothing of a yo-yo club between the Championship and the top flight over the past decade. With the current season drawing to a close, Hull City betting tips for this season forecast that they are likely to finish just outside the play-off places.
