Eintracht Frankfurt are a Bundesliga side based in the Hesse region of Germany. Nicknamed Die Adler (The Eagles) they play their home games at the Commerzbank Arena. Their traditional kit is black, with either red or white. Their 2017 – 2018 average home attendance made them the 20th best supported club in Europe.
Founded in 1899, they are one of the oldest clubs in Germany, and Founder members of the Bundesliga in 1963. They won the German Championship in 1959, thereby gaining entry to the European Cup the following season. For many outside their home country, an Eintracht Frankfurt prediction is that many will have heard of the side as the team that were beaten 7-3 by Real Madrid in the 1960 European Cup Final in Glasgow, called by some the greatest game of club football ever played.
Winners of the German cup on 5 occasions, they are the defending champions. They also won the UEFA Cup in 1980, and are semi-finalists in the equivalent competition this year.
In the first decade of this century the club had financial problems which led to them being docked points by the German Football Association (DFB) and then suffered relegations on several occasions. Each time the side fought its way back up, and the team is once more on a sound financial footing.
Their main local rivals are Kickers Offenbach, although the two rarely play each other due to being in separate divisions.
For the current season, Eintracht Frankfurt betting tips have them favourite to secure the final Champions League place. If they do succeed, an Eintracht Frankfurt tip for the summer is to expect them to dip into the transfer market to strengthen ahead of next season.
