Bayern Munich are a Bundesliga side based in Bavaria. Nicknamed Der FCB (the FCB) they play their home games at the Allianz Arena. Their traditional kit is red shirts and white shorts.
Formed in 1900, they are by some measure the most successful German team ever, having won the Championship 28 times, the German Cup 18 times and the German League Cup on six occasions. In Europe, they have won the Champions League five times, including three years in a row between 1974 and 1976, and UEFA Cup and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup. They have also won the FIFA Club World Cup – or its equivalent – three times.
Bayern Munich are the only European team to have completed all the trebles available to them – domestic, European and continental. It is the biggest sporting club in Germany, and the 4th highest-earning football club in the world.
The club enjoys local rivalries with the other clubs based in Munich and Bavaria, such as 1860 Munich, and FC Nürnberg, as well as those teams that have challenged it for domestic titles, such as Borussia Dortmund, and Borussia Mönchengladbach. There are also international rivalries with teams they have faced often in the Champions League.
Winner of the Bundesliga for the past six years, Bayern Munich betting tips at the start of the season made them overwhelming favourites to add a seventh title this campaign. However, those forecasts looked like they need a revision when Borussia Dortmund open a nine point advantage this season. However, Bayern have whittled that down and thrashed Dortmund 5 – 0 in April to lead the league again. Now Bayern Munich predictions have them adding a 29th Championship title to their list of achievements.
This may not enough to save their manager, Niko Kovać. They were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool in the round of 16. One Bayern Munich tip for the close season – expect a change of man in charge.
