In a recent turn of events, it has come to the picture than Manchester United are more than willing to pay £13 Million, half of Alexis Sanchez’s wage to offload the Chilean national from the club.
Sanchez who was one of Arsenal’s top performers found himself in the middle of a tug of war between Manchester United and Manchester City last January. However, the former club under Jose Mourinho was able to bag him for a mammoth £26 million.
It is however clear that Alexis Sanchez’s stay at Old Trafford has been nothing short of a nightmare. The former Arsenal star player has been struggling to find form since his transfer and has failed to deliver for the UK based club.
The fate of the former Arsenal forward now lies in the hands of their new boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, who is keen on transforming the club into genuine and formidable contenders.
Sanchez’s weekly wage comes to £500,000 which is a considerable number, and this might be a turn off for prospective buyers. The chiefs at United are very much aware of this; therefore they are willing to cash out half of his wage to tempt other clubs to acquire the Chilean national.
Though £13 Million is not a small amount by any means, letting go of Sanchez would enable to club to save £250000 every week. This will effectively allow Manchester United to present a better deal to prospective targets.
However, it has come to light that United are not keen on selling him off to a Premier League rival. Instead, predictions are in that they are pushing to seal a deal which will take the Chilean forward overseas.
Manchester United is currently in Sixth Place in the Premier League standings and while the club is still struggling to find good footing. In a March interview with United Reviews, Sanchez stated that he would love to bring a trophy to the supporters.
